I died and I resurrected-Robert Mugabe says-cocosista15.blogspot.com

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has put paid to the rumour concerning  the state of his health, including some speculation that he has died, by making light of the issue, after arriving back in the country following a trip abroad.
The Zimbabwean President made an unscheduled exit from a summit of leaders earlier in the week, travelling to Dubai where many believe he went to seek treatment for his health. The 92 year old dismissed those concerns with his return, laughing about those saying he had died.
“I had gone on a family matter to Dubai concerning one of my children,” he said on arrival in Harare."
“Yes, I was dead, it’s true I was dead. I resurrected as I always do. Once I get back to my country I am real.”
Zimbabwe has been lead by Mugabe since 1987, and despite being in his 90’s, he  shows no sign of being ready to relinquish control. He has been dogged with concerns over his health in recent years.

Yvonne Nelson opens up about personal fears-cocosista15.blogspot.com

In a recent interview which the pretty Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson granted, her fears about marriage was the hot topic for the day. Yvonne discussed the influence that growing up in a single-parent household has had on her approach to marriage and starting a family. Opening up about her childhood, the ‘Heels & Sneakers’ star admitted that her fatherless development is something that scares her in making moves towards marriage.
“As a kid growing up, it disturbed me not having a father figure around. I don’t want my child to go through the same thing,” she said.
Leading up to her 30th birthday, Ms Nelson revealed that she expected to have a baby by the time she celebrated three decades of life. But despite the pressures, Yvonne is adamantly cautious.
“I just don’t want to rush into something and then in eight months or in a year, I’m divorced and everyone is talking about it… I want to get it right,” she said. The problem, she says, is not a lack of suitors, but rather a lack of certainty as to whether or not suitors are the right fit.
“It’s not like women like [me] don’t have men approach us. But you’d ask yourself, ‘is this the right person?”

WHY BANANA IS GOOD FOR YOU-cocosista16.blospot.com

Bananas contain three natural sugars sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy is not the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

DEPRESSION
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills  eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

ANEMIA
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so help in cases of anemia.

BLOOD PRESSUREThis unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
BRAIN POWER
200 students at a Twickenham school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
CONSTIPATION

High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
HANGOVERS

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

HEARTBURN
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

MORNING SICKNESS
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

MOSQUITO BITES Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

NERVES
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

ULCERS
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chroniclercases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Many other cultures see bananas as a fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature. So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!

More rot in Mutharika's cabinet:Ministers defy assets declaration act-cocosista15.blogspot.com

Despite Malawi having endorsed the Declaration of Assets Act following reports of plundering government resources, President Peter Mutharika‘s ministers are reported to have defied the act by not declaring their assets to the office of the director of public officer’s declarations. According to reports making rounds, Malawi’s finance ministerGoodall Gondwe, minister responsible for Agriculture and Water Development George Chaponda, and Minister of Sports Grace Chiumia are yet to submit records of their assets a month after the deadline for receiving the records passed.

The law demands that public officers submit their assets to the office of director of public officer’s declarations and then update the records every financial year.
That deadline passed on July 31 but the three ministers are yet to provide the details of their assets. The penalty for failure to declare assets before the July 31 deadline is dismissal from office. Though Mutharika and his vice Saulos Chilima are among the people said to have updated their records, it remains cloudy on the whereabouts of the assets that the president and other public officers declared last year.Following the massive plunder of government resources, Malawi passed the Assets Declaration Act through Parliament in 2014 to track all government officials as one way of ensuring that government resources are secured.
In 2015, Mutharika, according to the declared wealth, owns property that he has attained in Malawi and also in the United States of America where he was working as a lawyer before he came into Malawi politics and made it to the Presidency.

Is Lil Wayne retiring from music?-cocosista15.blogspot.com

Veteran rapper, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. AKA , Lil Wayne has said in a series of tweet that he is retiring from music. The American hip hop artist seems to be fed up with the music industry as he said he is defenceless and mentally derailed. Over the past year, Lil Wayne's public loggerhead with Birdman and Cash Money Records has dramatically impacted his career and ability to put out music. The feud originally stems from Wayne's frustration over money reportedly owed him and the label not releasing his long-awaited album, Carter V.
At one point in January it appeared that Wayne and Birdman were on track to solve their differences, but since Wayne has only become more vocal about his displeasure and has resolved "Fuck Cash Money" recently at a number of concerts. His fans have however flooded his timeline to plead with him not to retire since the tweet.

The next day the duck went into the same store and asked the same thing and got the same answer. The duck kept going back to the shop every day for a week and asked for the same thing and kept getting the same answer until the shopkeeper got angry he said "If you come here and ask that again, I will hit you on the head with a hammer 🔨!" One night in bed cost Senator Sh 10 million-cocosista15.blogspot.com

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has confessed that he gave a woman money to procure an abortion.
In a witness statement, the Senator admits that he paid Sh150,000 to Victoria Ndunge Musyoka to terminate the pregnancy. The woman however allegedly carried the pregnancy to full term, but the baby she gave birth to reportedly resembled another man.
Mutula Junior and Victoria are involved in a child upkeep tussle after the Senator allegedly reneged on his promise to take care of the three-year-old girl.
In a counterclaim suit filed at the Milimani Law Courts, the politician is challenging some of the statements lodged in court by Victoria.
He believes the woman is lying about the paternity of the child.
The Senator says Victoria has frustrated attempts to have a paternity test in India, accusing her of using the child to extort him and tarnish his name through falsehoods that are sometimes posted on social media.
“That family members of the respondent (Victoria) have severally advised the applicant (Mutula Junior) that the child was not born prematurely, and that he was not the biological father. Further, the child’s real father resembles the child, and had been in a long-term relationship with the respondent in 2012, and was well known to members of her family. They have also provided the applicant with electronic and written evidence of their assertions,” states Mutula Junior’s in his affidavit prepared by Kilonzo & Company Advocates.
He claims he started doubting whether he was the biological father after the child was born 24 weeks after their first and last intimate encounter. Mutula Junior argues he could not have been the father of the girl since a full term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks.
A pre-term or premature baby is delivered before 37 weeks. Moderate pre-term infants are born between 29 and 33 weeks, while extremely pre-term infants are born 23 through to 28 weeks.
Mutula Junior says that Victoria also lied that the baby was put in an incubator soon after birth.
“The plaintiff (Ndunge) then demanded for approximately Sh150,000 from the defendant (Mutula Junior) to get rid of the pregnancy. The defendant, a married man, who had no intention to enter into or maintain a relationship with the plaintiff paid to her the amount in full,” reads Mutula Junior’s witness statement.
Mutula Junior’s lawyer, who is his sister, Kethi Kilonzo, argues that, “The plaintiff states that the defendant has since 2014 failed to provide medical records of the child and to produce the child for a paternity test as he suspects that he is not the biological father of the child.”

GOD OR MAN: WHO'S TO BLAME- cocosista15.blogspot.com

Oil thieves are not exempted from the snares of kidnappers, but what happened to Deji wasn’t kidnapping. It was more of, what’s that word again? “Prophesy!” Any fool knew that his house was a fortress alright, but something happened on this fateful Sunday as he came back from church. The beautiful and heavily pregnant Bola who was expecting child number two, was by his side. It happened so quick he actually thought he was dreaming. The 12-seater commercial bus in front of him looked rickety just like any other bus, nothing out of the ordinary. He honked the horn of his bullet proof Ford Explorer gently but the bus driver wouldn’t budge. He suspected nothing, after all it was 9am on Sunday in the oil city. Everyone was either going to church or coming back from church. The bus driver still didn’t move and others behind Deji were blaring their horns in that tiny accursed one way road.
Deji came out, rushed to the bus driver and before he could rain down the barrage of insults he had so beautifully composed in his head, the driver had pulled out an assault rifle. The other six passengers in the bus came out with high caliber firearms but all hell didn’t break loose. They simply walked Deji back to his car, took Odewale and drove off. No words exchanged, no ransom notes, no nothing. They just took the boy away from his mother’s arms and off they went. The last thing Chief Deji remembered was the blare of the horns in his ears - it sounded like background sound to the lyrics.
The heir is gone, the heir is gone.
He went to church and never came back
Oh mama the heir is gone, the heir is gone
The search was one of the most publicized in the history of kidnapped persons in Nigeria. In a normal kidnapping case, there would have been demands for ransom, proof of life, drop off point and all the normal ingredients of classic kidnappings. Well this was a special case as it didn’t follow the norm. There was no ransom note, no proof of life and no drop off point either. There were no words from the kidnappers - just an emptiness that filled the life of both parents. The police investigation was vicious. Vivian was arrested as the prime suspect, jailed and later released with no smile on her face. Lady karma and all the gods of revenge were having a feast, and the heir to the throne was gone forever.
Things went on normally in the Akanji family. The world did not end but Deji’s life ended soon enough. Even before he was pronounced dead by the doctors, he had stopped living. The heart break of losing his son was too much for the crime czar to comprehend. A year after the kidnapping, Deji died. Bola was left with her newly born daughter oblivious of the secret battle going on in the family for the invisible throne. With the help of Deji’s second cousins who had
always been sidelined by Deji’s brothers in the family affairs, she gathered support and claimed the throne promising Deji’s cousin a better sharing formula.
One thing everyone admitted was Bola’s instinct for business deals. She turned the family’s fortune and made their operations almost legal. They branched out into other ventures like hotels, shopping malls, car shops, even their oil business now looked legit as they had chains of petrol stations around the country and three tank farms. With their numerous connections to the uppermost crust of the society, patronage was not a problem in their business. The whole family were soon swimming in more money than they could even record. They were no more known as oil thieves but well respected entrepreneurs in the industrial strata of Nigeria.
Bola never remarried, but she was a well-known cougar in the small southern town of Warri. She never did, partly because if she remarried she would have to submit the throne to her husband the new king and partly because she could have any young man in the society she wanted. Yes did I forget to mention she was young, filthy rich and sexy successful.

Wedding bells for fashion blogger Sharon Mundia-cocosista15.blogspot.com

The 26year old Kenyan fashion blogger, Sharon Mundia yesterday treated her YouTube followers to the very first Q&A session after a short break from blogging. It was a session  where you could ask her anything through the social media platforms and she would respond through her channel,  ThisisEss.
Most of the questions bordered around her wedding, whether it was happening or not;  when it would happen; how she met her fiancée Lonina and if she would be sharing her wedding planning updates. "I am a bit nervous about sharing my wedding planning updates," she said explaining that this was because after she had shared her engagement story,  the reactions were so out of control that it made her nervous.'I didn't know if I had shared too much,  and it was difficult to strike a balance, " she says adding that she even vowed never to post anything personal. But that was then. Now,  she is reaching out to her followers and is asking if she should share her wedding planning updates or not.Yes,  the wedding is happening and it is just recently she has been consumed by the planning. It is probably also why she has been inconsistent with her blogging. 'I initially wasn't interested in the whole planning, but now I am," she says.
The video also reveals that she will be wedding later this year,  though no specific dates have been given. Another wedding detail she slips into the video is that her maid of honour is her best friend, the very same one who introduced her to Lonina.
Speaking of Lonina,  she describes him as cool,  fun,  funny,  emotional, giving and confident, with emphasis on confident.
Among other questions she answered were her current reads,  pocket-friendly getaway destinations, if she buys clothes anymore,  her business philosophy, fitness and beauty regimes, and what she pursued in school.

PRACTICAL JOKES IN THE WORKPLACE-cocosista15.blogspot.com

(advice for the workplace)
Remember: It is no laughing matter when a workmate is injured from a practical joke!
Horseplay is often regarded as a friendly, physical way to let off steam, but this type of fooling around on the job is dangerous for a number of reasons. At the very least, when you’re playing pranks and joking around your attention is elsewhere and you’re not focused on the job at hand.

Directing your horseplay at others and distracting them from the job they are performing is even more dangerous - it creates an unsafe working environment where injuries can occur. Even the most harmless prank can distract someone for a second and cost them a serious injury. Every year people are injured during horseplay – some lose eyes, get hit in the head with flying objects, while others could lose their life.Whilst horsing around might start out as a harmless bit of fun, it’s the target of the joke that suffers either physically or emotionally. People who joke around at work pose a very real and dangerous threat not just to themselves but to others around them.
Example of jokes gone bad:
Pranks and practical jokes in the workplace undermine safety in all sorts of ways. Want some real life example of jokes gone bad?
• Consider the humorist who decides to nail his workmate’s boots to the floor. The victim nearly sprains his back pulling them free. And the boots now have holes in the soles, making them useless as safety footwear.
• Another prank, traditionally played on all new workers at a certain facility, involves pushing the victim under the showers. This particular time, though, the victim is taped into a chair. No-one realizes that the water pouring over him is hot until he begins screaming. The victim receives third-degree scalds.
• One man, startled by the old “joke” involving a spring-loaded cloth snake in a harmless-looking tin labeled “nuts,” jerks his head backward and slams it into a steel shelf, requiring eight stitches. • Sometimes, the recipient of a “joke” becomes violent. A worker of Roanoke, VA, stabbed Jonathan Freel his co-worker to death in the parking lot of a sports bar after the victim gives Williams’s friend a “wedgie.”

Even if a prank goes off “harmlessly” as planned, there can be unpleasant results. The victim may feel resentful, which can poison the atmosphere at your workplace and make working together uncomfortably stressful. Or the victim may try to exact revenge, leading to a series of escalating pranks, which may eventually hurt someone.

So instead of encouraging or playing tired old gags at work, why not spare a thought for safety and suggest your co-workers do the same?

Horseplay vs Bullying
Bullying is repeated inappropriate behaviour at work – it can be direct or indirect, verbal or physical, involving one person or many. Bullying behaviours include horseplay in the workplace where the “joke” is based on sex, race, religion, physical appearance or disability.

How Horseplay Affects the Workplace
When practical jokes are common in the workplace, employees pay less attention to their jobs because they’re always on the lookout for the next joke.

Horseplay is a serious safety hazard that can quickly get out of hand and lead to injury or death. If a workmate gets hurt as a result of your horseplay or joke you may be liable and you’ll likely lose your job.

Even if a practical joke isn’t dangerous, it may be viewed as bullying or harassment and can have an emotional impact on the target.
What should you about horseplay on the job?
1.       Don’t initiate horseplay or practical jokes.
2.       Don’t encourage it e.g. by laughing.
3.       Don’t be pressured into participating in it.
4.       Don’t ignore it when you see it happening talk to the plotters to desist.
5.       If your co-workers ignore your reprimand, report it to your supervisor. Don’t think of it as telling on a colleague. You are preventing an accident about to happen AND potentially saving a co-workers life.

Take Your Job, Your Responsibilities, and Safety Seriously
1       You’re responsible for performing your job correctly, which includes safely.
2        Safety rules and procedures are designed to protect you.
3      Everyone must follow safety rules.
4      Failure to follow the rules is dangerous—for you and for others.
Horseplay and other safety rule violations can lead to disciplinary action. Don’t indulge in horseplay or accuse those who won’t go along of having “no sense of humor.”
Think how bad you would feel if your horseplay injured or sickened someone else—maybe seriously.

GOD OR MAN: WHO'S TO BLAME?-cocosista15.blogspot.com

Mama did not buy it. She was on prophesy mode and that day would be her crowning day in her brief but deadly career in prophesy.
“So young like the mother, but you will never be as cowardly as your father who couldn’t tell his mother the truth.” Mama stared at her grandson with so much sorrow in her eyes, and with her last strength she raised him and threw him towards the open window.

Time didn’t freeze like it is supposed to in times like this, it went on fast-forward. Vivian dived towards the window to save the infant taking his first flying lessons. Deji was stunned. Luckily, the boy’s head hit the window frame and he fell down into Vivian’s protective arms which were spread out in her mad rush. Odewale didn’t cry, instead he laughed maniacally and ended it with that smile of his. Vivian fell in love with the boy that moment.“Mama why, what the hell did you do that for?” Deji shouted at his mother. He was furious and didn’t care if she had Alzheimer’s - that was the crown prince.
“You fools, he will kill his father and marry his mother. Kill the boy, kill him now and send the mother far far away.”  The nurses on duty had rushed in and when they saw mama spewing out prophesies, they rushed out even faster. Nobody wanted to be the next casualty.
“Mama you are not well, you don’t know what you talking. We can’t kill a harmless baby.” Vivian had tears in her eyes now as she was ready to defend this boy with her life.
“You’re lucky you are not his mother. He will get his mum pregnant and kill his father. If you had any sense left in you my dear, you would strangle that baby right now.”
Deji had stormed out of the room into the nurses’ cubicle screaming at them for allowing his mum watch too many bad nollywood movies. And as Vivian left the room she heard Mama say, “remember that smile my dear when the time comes remember that smile, it will save us all”. She did remember the smile but it was way too late, like ordering for pizza and getting it two months later. It was way too late, the damage had already been done.
Mama died quietly about three months later. The burial was without the fanfare and pageantry you would expect from a woman who had given birth to a bunch of power drunk, money choking oil thieves. She had attempted to kill the new head, so any wise family member stayed far away from her. Contrary to what most people may think, she didn’t die sad and lonely. She died with all her senses and almost at a full recovery, and she kept telling everyone who cared to listen, “remember that smile”.
Things took a turn for the worse from then on. After Mama died, the prophesy wasted no time in revealing itself like a complex 5 X 5 Matrix equation. It was only a matter of time before everything fell into place. After Mama’s death Bola morphed into the queen bitch of the federation. She woke up one day to family members who had scores to settle with Vivian filling her head with how she is the queen mother. It didn’t take long at all. When Odewale was about a year old, his real mother walked in the front door and his step mum walked out the same door with the last shreds of her dignity and luckily for her, also her sanity. Vivian was kicked out of her matrimonial home and Deji married Bola. Vivian was the only one who escaped as she went on to live a very quiet and average life, until she was called upon again when the prophesy bubble was about to burst.
