Veteran rapper, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. AKA , Lil Wayne has said in a series of tweet that he is retiring from music. The American hip hop artist seems to be fed up with the music industry as he said he is defenceless and mentally derailed. Over the past year, Lil Wayne's public loggerhead with Birdman and Cash Money Records has dramatically impacted his career and ability to put out music. The feud originally stems from Wayne's frustration over money reportedly owed him and the label not releasing his long-awaited album, Carter V.
At one point in January it appeared that Wayne and Birdman were on track to solve their differences, but since Wayne has only become more vocal about his displeasure and has resolved "Fuck Cash Money" recently at a number of concerts. His fans have however flooded his timeline to plead with him not to retire since the tweet.
