NBA legend Nate Thurmond has died at the age of 74.
He is reported to have died in San Francisco Friday after a short battle with leukemia. Thurmond was in the NBA for 14 year seasons, the first 11 were with the San Francisco and Golden State Warriors.
Nate Thurmond set an NBA milestone in 1974 when he became the first player to record an official quadruple double with points, rebounds, assists and blocks.
Joe Lacob, President of the Warriors released a statement following Nate's death, saying,“We’ve lost one of the most iconic figures in the history of not only our organization, but the NBA in general." May his soul rest in peace.
