Once upon a time, a mosquito fell in love with the ear, and
as the love grew deeper every day, the mosquito could no longer hide its
feelings. He went to the ear and expressed his feelings. The ear in turn burst in hysteric laughter and said ‘you mosquito, you
too want to marry me? No, I can’t marry you.’
The mosquito however went away humiliated. From that time on, anytime the mosquito passed by, he would
go humming to the ear in order to remind the ear he was still alive. The
mosquito also seized the opportunity to punish the ear because of the
derogatory statement made by the ear to him. In an attempt to retaliate, the
ear employed the service of the hand but instead of the hand killing the
mosquito the hand would slap the ear each time the mosquito came disturbing the
ear. That is why the mosquito always disturbs the ear.
