Spoken Word Poem by Prestige Ifeanyi Bernard.

Spoken Word Poem
Title: Facts And Truths
All 'Facts' are 'Truths' but not all 'Truths' are 'facts'.
There might be more than one difference between facts and Truths but I choose to speak on the truth of the fact that distinguishes the fact from the truth.
Now, let me ask; what is your name?
Fact is exact; your name is a fact while your nick name is a 'Truth' which you can alter anytime you choose.
Yes, facts exist in actuality, whereas truths are true only in the current situation.
Truths are things one believes to be true. For example, many of us grew up with the view and teaching that we've got 9 planets in the solar system. But guess what, the 9th planet has become a 'dwarf planet'; it's no planet and none of us planned it.
Facts are permanent but truths are like laws; "the heart of the law is truth" ....Psalm 119:160
Facts, Truths and lies exist in reality, so I took the three out on a date to hear what they had to say in all sincerity.
"What is mine is yours, what is yours is mine"--- says facts
"What is mine is mine, what is yours is yours"--- says Truths
"What is mine isn't mine, what is yours isn't yours"--- says Lies
And such are the realities of life.
If life was a paper, then fact would be a permanent marker while truth would be a pencil in the hand of its holder.
If I say the sun rises in the east, it is a fact but if I say I am lying on my bed, that won't be a fact. Though it is true as at now but it can't be true forever.
So not all truths are facts but all facts are truths.
