CAMEROON MIDFIELDER, PATRICK EKENG SLUMPS AND DIES ON THE PITCH IN ROMANIA.

It has been reported that Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng died in hospital after collapsing on the pitch during a Romanian league match against Viitorul Constanta yesterday Friday May 6th. The club he was playing for  was leading 3-2 when he slumped just seven minutes after coming in as a substitute. According to Floreasca hospital in Bucharest. where he was rushed to after he had slumped, the doctors tried for an hour to resuscitate the 26year old Cameroon midfielder but failed. As at press time, the cause of his death is still unknown with some sources citing a possible heart attack. A statement on Dinamo's official facebook page on Friday evening said 'Dinamo tonight lost footballer Claude Patrick Ekeng forever. on  behalf of all Dinamo, sincere condolences to the bereaved family. God rest his soul.' Dinamo players lit candles along with supporters of the club to honour Ekeng after he died.
